Dal Tadka is made using Tur Dal, also called as Thuvaram Paruppu in Tamil and is one of the most commonly used lentil among the Indian kitchens. Tur Dal — Nutty in taste and after cooking it gives a creamy texture Anything that you can cook everyday| wherever you travel in India, Tur Dal is a main ingredient of every day meals. It is known as Kandipappu in Telugu, Thuvara Parippu in Malayalam, Togari Bele in Kannada and Arhar Dal in Hindi.
