The Sabja Seeds are tiny black seeds found in the blossom of the sweet basil plant Ocimum basilicum. It is used in traditional foods and beverages for its cooling effect, as a thickening texture which adds to the mouthfeel, with very little flavor. They form a gelatinous layer when soaked in water, which makes the seeds a fascinating and healthy addition to virtually any dish. Sabja Seeds are also seeds which have had great value in different cultures all across the world due to their multifarious applications and they are now being preferred as a binding agent for drinks, desserts and many other diets which have been penned down by nutritionists.

How to Use Sabja Seeds
- You will need to rinse sabja seeds with water (1–2 tsp).
- Mix in jelly seeds with water and leave for 10–15 minutes so that they are brewed and acquire a gel-like consistency.
- Drain out all excess water and mix it with your any other dish or drinks of your choice.
Storage Tips
Normally, Sabja seeds are stored in air-tight containers in a dry and cool place where there is no sunlight. They keep their freshness and quality for months when properly stored.
